Cookies

Cookie policy for the EASYRE® website

The pages of this website use cookies only for visit statistics, with Google Analytics, and only if you accept them. Last updated: .

In brief

  • Without your consent, the pages do not use cookies and do not load anything from other websites.
  • With your consent, we use Google Analytics, Google’s statistics service, to count visits and see which pages are useful.
  • We do not use advertising or profiling cookies.
  • Your choice stays in your browser’s storage for 6 months; after that, we ask you again.
  • You can change it at any time with ‘Cookie preferences’, at the bottom of every page.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in its visitors’ browsers so that it can find them again on later visits. The same can be done with the browser’s storage, or with techniques that recognise a device from its characteristics without storing anything: the rules apply to these tools too (Italian Data Protection Authority, Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools, 10 June 2021, paragraphs 3 and 4).

Italian law requires consent before information is stored on the device of a website visitor, or information already stored there is read, except where this is needed only to provide the service the visitor has asked for (Section 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code, Legislative Decree No 196/2003).

Your choice

The first time you enter the website, a bar at the bottom of the window asks whether you accept statistics cookies, with two buttons of equal weight: ‘Accept’ and ‘Reject’. Until you choose, the website does not use cookies.

Your choice and its date stay in your browser’s storage, under the name ‘easyre-consenso’, for 6 months: after that, the notice comes back. This information is needed only to remember your choice, so it does not require consent (Section 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code).

To change your choice, use Cookie preferences, at the bottom of every page.

Google Analytics, only with your consent

If you accept, the page loads the Google Analytics script from Google’s website (www.googletagmanager.com) and sends Google the data of your visit: the pages you view, the website you come from, the type of device and browser, and the area derived from your connection. We use it to count visits and see which pages are useful. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code).

The durations are those stated by Google for Google Analytics 4.

  • Statistics only: we have set up Google Analytics without personalised advertising and without Google Signals, the data with which Google recognises the same person on different devices.
  • IP address: according to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
  • How long: data linked to a visitor stays in Google Analytics for no more than 14 months, and the period starts again if you come back to the website.
  • What Google does: it processes this data on our behalf, only to run and protect the service, under its data processing terms. In our Google Analytics account, sharing data with Google for other purposes is switched off.
  • Outside the European Union: Google is headquartered in the United States and the data may also be processed there. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission found adequate in its decision of 10 July 2023 (Article 45 GDPR).
  • If you change your mind: with ‘Cookie preferences’ and then ‘Reject’, the website deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser and stops sending data. Data already collected stays in Google Analytics until the expiry stated above.

What this website does

Apart from Google Analytics, if you accept it, the pages contain only small scripts written by us (in JavaScript): they open the drop-down menus and the menu on phones, check the form fields before the form is sent, show the cookie notice and, as you scroll down the page, make some blocks appear and show a shadow under the page header. Fonts and images come from this website’s own server.

If you arrive from another website, for example from a search engine, one of these scripts takes the name of that website from your browser and adds it to the link to the ‘Book a meeting’ page: this way, if you send us a request, we know which website you started from. The name is not saved on your device: the website’s server receives it when you open the contact page, and it stays with your request only if you send it. How we use this information is explained in the privacy policy.

Only the restricted area for the people who manage the website, which visitors do not enter, uses the technical cookies of WordPress, the software the website is built with, to recognise who has signed in.

The website has links to other websites, for example to the EASYRE® profiles on LinkedIn and YouTube: if you open them, you leave this website and that website’s rules apply.
